Run for the Woods

9:50 5-Kilometer Race Walking Race
10:00 5-Kilometer Road Running Race

Registration/Pricing:
Race Day $25 for 5K, $15 for kids run

Preregistration discounts (may be combined):
SCT members who preregister save $5
All entrants who register by May 17 save $5
May 1st is the final day to preregister and be guaranteed a T-shirt

Mail-in form (print the form and mail it with your check postmarked by May 15th)

Parking advice:
5K entrants should allow time to park at the Center or Pompo Schools or the Brookside Cemetery. Hartley Road, the access to Hale School, will be closed when the small parking lot there is full and during the races. Pleased do not park in church lots nor on Common Road, those areas are reserved on Sundays for church goers.

Run for the Woods Poster Contest

Artists between the age of 5 and 14 are invited to submit a drawing to be used for the promotional poster for Stow Conservation Trust’s Run for the Woods. The poster should combine SCT’s mission “To lead in the preservation of Stow’s open land and natural and scenic resources” with the fun of running.

The winning poster will be hung throughout Stow and adjoining towns.
The artist will receive a gift certificate for art classes (value $95) at Silk and Clay Studio at ArtSpace Maynard.

The following guidelines must be followed to be eligible for prize.
  • Artist must be in middle school or younger
  • Drawing must be done by hand
  • We encourage drawings that could also be put on a T-shirt
  • Drawing must be done on the form provided
  • Limit 2 entries per person
  • ON THE BACK: please include name of the artist and contact information – phone and email
  • Submissions can be left at: Randall Library or mailed without folding to SCT, Box 397, Stow, MA 01775
  • Due Date for submissions is Saturday, April 6, 2013.
