Red Acre Woodlands

Your hike through the varied woodlands can begin on Red Acre Rd or South Acton Rd with a trail between.  Enjoy a stroll over eskers surrounded by upland forests and along boardwalks through wooded wetlands.  Side loops take you into a grove of beech trees and blueberry stands.  A highlight is when the spice pepper bushes bloom in August, filling the woods with a lovely aroma and a sea of white flowers. This trail can be combined with a walk through Captain Sargent property for a longer hike.
