Shepherd Woodlands

Your hike through this recently renovated trail begins on South Acton Rd. Hike on the red loop trail until you see the turn off for the Shepherd Woodlands (white loop trail). Informational kiosks are spread throughout the trail area, highlighting areas where wildlife activity can be seen. A new set of boardwalks take you over streams and through groves of white pine. Finally, a loop can be made at the end of the trail, taking you to the edge of the brook where beavers have made a dam.
