Shepherd Boardwalk Introductory Hike

Join SCT on a special introductory hike to celebrate the new boardwalks installed over wetlands in the Shepherd Memorial Woodland.  Accessed from the town-owned Captain Sargent Conservation Area, SCT’s lovely property offers views of wetlands, beaver dams, and forest habitat.  Newly installed informational sign boards will add to your understanding and enjoyment of the property.

The boardwalk,  a cooperative trail project with MassTrails,  has made the property walkable in all seasons.  Additional funding came from the Fields Pond Foundation and Stow Conservation Trust donors.  The trail itself was made possible through the involvement of our amazing volunteers in SCT’s Stew Crew, led by John Sangermano.
